Titanfall 2, the broadly expected sequel to Respawn's debut shooter, has been confirmed by its developer as a project currently in production.
Vince Zampella, the co-founder of Respawn Entertainment, confirmed the project in an interview with IGN on location at the BAFTA Game Awards in London.
"I guess EA announced a sequel, so I could play coy and pretend I don't know anything about it, or… yeah. So we're working on a sequel," he said.
"No official name yet, but we're working on that. That's the main focus but we're starting up a second team and doing some smaller stuff too. Small, exploratory, taking it slow! It'll be multiplatform."
It means that the successor to Titanfall will almost certainly ship on PlayStation 4 as well as Xbox One, and likely on PC too.
