Peripherals specialist Mad Catz is planning to launch a new range of official Street Fighter V controllers ahead of the game's release.
As part of a wider three-year partnership, Mad Catz says it has the licence to build a line of FightSticks, Tournament Edition FightSticks, and FightPad controllers for the game.
No images of the peripherals are available yet, though Mad Catz said it was "going back to the drawing board" with the designs. The controllers are expected to be compatible with both PC and PlayStation 4, which will be the only two systems that Capcom's flagship fighting game will launch on, due to Sony securing a console exclusivity agreement.
In a blog post, Mad Catz said the controller was "the product we've been putting the most time into as of late."
Capcom's partnership with Mad Catz dates back to 2008, which has led to the release of numerous Street Fighter IV-branded FightSticks, the latest of which costs about $200.
"Street Fighter is the most renowned fighting game franchise in gaming and we're excited to be part of Street Fighter V, the first title in the series to launch on PlayStation 4," said Mad Catz chief executive Darren Richardson.
"More passionate gamers choose our range of fighting game controllers over any other as they demand quality and precision to help provide a winning edge. We're confident that our new range will continue to establish Mad Catz as category leaders and prove highly popular to established fighting game players and those new to the series."
The Street Fighter 5 release date is still a matter for speculation, though Capcom recently cited Spring 2015 as a possible target.
