Activision and Sledgehammer Games on Tuesday released a first-look trailer for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare's latest gun, an OHM directed energy weapon. What makes the gun especially unique is that it's a hybrid weapon that can switch between an LMG and shotgun on the fly.

As you can see in the video above, the weapon is devastatingly powerful, at least for someone who knows how to use it.

The OHM directed energy weapon, along with a new OHM-Werewolf custo m variant, are included with Advanced Warfare's next expansion, Ascendance. Xbox gamers who own the $50 Advanced Warfare DLC pass, however, can download the new weapons starting today.

Ascendance is Advanced Warfare's second expansion, following January's Havoc add-on. No release date for Ascendance has been announced, but Xbox players will get a crack at the DLC one month before PlayStation and PC players per an exclusivity arrangement between Microsoft and Activision.
