Developer Atlus has released its Persona 5 reveal trailer, offering a first look at the game's principal characters and a fleeting glimpse of the gameplay.
The video, above, confirms that Katsura Hashino, whose first game in the Persona series was released in 2006, is onboard as director. The video showcases the game's unique look, achieved by mixing cel-shaded graphics with more traditional animations.
Meanwhile, to mark the occasion, Sony Japan has announced a limited-edition Persona-themed PlayStation Vita.
Persona 5 is expected to ship on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 at some stage this year.
